1. Hardness
To distinguish whether citrine is artificial or natural, you can look at the hardness. Use a knife to scratch the surface of citrine. The hardness of natural citrine is about 7 degrees on the Mohs scale, and the surface is not easy to leave marks. Artificial citrine is mostly imitated by glass, and the surface is easy to leave obvious scratches.
2. Bubbles
To distinguish whether citrine is artificial or natural, you can look at the bubbles. Observe the citrine crystals carefully. Because natural citrines are naturally formed, there are no bubbles inside. Due to the production process of artificial citrine, air bubbles will appear inside.
3. Touch
To distinguish whether citrine is artificial or natural, you can touch it. The tentacles of natural citrine will give people a cool feeling, which makes people feel very comfortable. Artificial citrine tentacles heat up faster, giving people a feeling of warmth and dryness.
